The beginning of 2026 marked the launch of an advertising campaign for Moldova, developed across the media platforms of the BBC.
The first phase of the campaign was the launch of a dedicated online section highlighting the country’s export potential — including food products, fruit and wine exports — alongside a separate section focused on international technology companies that are choosing Moldova as a base for their investment projects.

Working on these materials allowed us to rediscover a country we believed we already knew well. We are confident that the international audience will also reconsider long-standing perceptions and see Moldova in a new light — as a beautiful country with a growing economy and significant export potential.
The section dedicated to wine and fruit exports clearly demonstrates that this potential is already being realised in practice. In 2024, Moldova exported more than 266,000 tonnes of fruit and nuts, accounting for 6.6% of the country’s total exports, with the majority of shipments destined for European markets.
Moldovan wine exports reached £180 million in 2024 — the strongest result in many years. Compared with 2023, this represents a 22% increase. Today, wine exports account for approximately 3% of the country’s gross domestic product and around 7% of national exports, while the sector employs more than 150,000 people.

The third article explores the growing ICT and robotics workforce that is supporting Moldova’s manufacturing industry. We discover how Moldova is creating advanced, specialised products in their factories and how these are being funnelled into larger global supply chains. The article also touches on Moldova’s taxes and labour costs, which are lower than in most European countries, making it a great place to invest.
We invite you to explore the branded content section created in collaboration with our colleagues at BBC StoryWorks, and perhaps begin planning a visit to experience first-hand, taste, and truly feel Moldova’s export potential — and to discover Moldova through its flavours.
We would like to express our sincere gratitude to InvestMoldova for their cooperation in the preparation and launch of this project. This marked the first joint experience working with Moldova for both DARS Consulting and our colleagues at BBC StoryWorks, and we highly value the trust and openness demonstrated throughout the process. We will make every effort to ensure that this first collaboration becomes successful, impactful, and truly effective for Moldova — a country that is shaping its modern image, strengthening its national brand, attracting investment, and developing exports while increasingly integrating into the European economic space.
We would also like to extend special thanks to our colleagues at BBC StoryWorks for producing the digital branded content component of this campaign. Their editorial expertise, creative approach, and deep understanding of international audiences enabled us to present Moldova’s investment potential through compelling narratives that go beyond data and statistics, placing the country within a broader global and European context.
A separate and very special acknowledgment goes to DARS Films, whose team produced an inspiring TV commercial aired on BBC News across multiple regions, reaching millions of viewers worldwide. The film captures the beauty, character, and visual richness of Moldova, translating its ambition and openness into a powerful emotional experience. As with any investment decision-making process, figures and facts are essential — but emotions matter just as much. We are deeply grateful to the DARS Films crew for conveying these emotions and inspirations, and for sharing Moldova’s story with a global audience in such an authentic and evocative way.
Together, the digital branded content and the broadcast TV campaign form a cohesive communication platform — one that combines credibility, storytelling, and emotion to support Moldova’s investment narrative on the international stage.
We would welcome any comments, messages, or questions related to Moldova and to DARS Consulting’s projects in the country.
